How to take Cymalon Cranberry Sachets
Our pharmacists and prescribers follow NICE guidelines when prescribing Cymalon cystitis sachets.
Always take Cymalon Sachets as instructed by your doctor or pharmacist. Read all the information that comes with the medicine before you start using it and speak to your doctor or pharmacist if you are still not sure.
To treat the symptoms of cystitis, dissolve one sachet of Cymalon in a glass of cold water.
Once the contents of the sachet has dissolved, drink the entire glass of water. Do this three times a day.
When you suffer from cystitis, you should also make sure you drink as much water as possible, every day. This will help to flush out the harmful bacteria in your bladder.
Seek medical attention if you have been using Cymalon for 48 hours and your symptoms have not improved, or have gotten worse.
What if I take more than I should have?
Seek medical attention if you have taken an extra dose of Cymalon.
What if I miss a dose?
If you accidentally miss a dose of this medicine, do not take an extra dose to try and make up for it.
Do not have more than three sachets a day. Exceeding your dose will not treat your cystitis any more effectively and may cause adverse effects.
Never double dose any medicine to try and make up for missing a previous dose.
If you have trouble remembering to take Cymalon, try taking it at the same time every day. Some people find it helpful to set an alarm as a reminder.

Do not store in conditions above 25C and do not keep using the sachets after the expiry date, which can be found on the packet. The expiry date refers to the last day of the month stated.
